Ambition

Ambition in itself is a good thing.
The question is: what are we ambitious about?
St. Paul says: “Be ambitious for the higher gifts.
And the greatest of these is love.”
Lord, fill our hearts with your love,
so that we may be capable of serving others,
and this service will guarantee us
a place of honour in your kingdom.
