Delivering education since 1858, Inch National School has a very fine tradition of learning. A dedicated, hard working staff, combined with an enthusiastic, involved parent body and Board of Management, ensures that children attending the school receive the very best in terms of resources and education. The school ethos advocates friendship, unity and education as borne out in the school motto of “Cairdeas, Aontas, Oideachas”.

Developing children as life long learners and critical thinkers is an academic goal that the teaching staff of Inch constantly strives towards. As well as delivering the school curriculum to the very highest of standards the school participates in many other events, e.g. cross country running, hurling, camogie, science competitions, swimming, basketball, school quizzes, Eason’s Spelling Bee to name but a few. Participation in such events is key for the holistic development of the child as s/he develops the skills of collaboration, cooperation and socialisation by being part of a team.

Inch School is very fortunate to have access to numerous resources such as a sensory garden, a playing pitch, extensive IT resources and a well stocked library. In addition, the school has a pre-school on campus.

The school is fortunate to have the support of a progressive Board of Management and a dynamic Parent Association. The work of these groups has ensured numerous after school classes and provided support to the teachers in providing an enriched learning experience for the pupils.
